Higher Carb NOT Fat associated with higher mortality/CVD events

Higher saturated fat leads to higher LDL, but notice also causing higher HDL. So overall, lower TC/HDL, ApoB/ApoA ratio --> CVD protective

Higher carb intake leads to lower LDL AND lower HDL. Overall, higher TC/HDL & ApoB/ApoA --> higher CVD risk
Higher carb --> higher mortality. Higher fat --> lower mortality

Optimum sodium intake should be 3-6 gm/day
